What are the worst terrorist attacks in history? Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg Description: Terrorism is the act of violence against a group a people with the purpose of pursuing a political agenda. Unfortunately, the casualties in terrorist acts are civilians. Most governments won’t negotiate with terrorists at all, which is both good and bad. Never should any power be given to terrorists, but at the same time, innocent people are paying the price for a situation that they are not involved in. Since the late 1800’s, there have been countless terrorist attacks. Take the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) for example. This group killed over 3000 former slaves starting in 1865, and the group still exists today. From hanging innocent African Americans to targeting white sympathizers, the KKK is a feared group with members that are highly influential in the community that they reside in. One of the most famous and well-known attacks took place on September 11th, 2001. It was the largest terrorist attack to ever take place on US soil, and involved flying planes into the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Washington D.C., as well as the White House (that plane never made it thanks to the brave people who subdued the terrorists that hijacked the plane). Ever since 9/11, airport security has never been tighter. After 9/11, there proceeded to be a series of attacks in the mail using the chemical of Anthrax. Dozens of people fell ill, and five people died. The United States is no stranger to acts of terrorism, as the Alfred P. Murrah federal building in Oklahoma City was bombed by Timothy McVeigh on April 19th, 1995. But this wasn’t even the first terrorist act to occur in the US, as there was the Wall Street bombing on September 19th, 1920, when dynamite exploded from a horse and carriage. The rest of the world has been subjected to terrorist attacks, such as the Munich massacre that occurred on September 5-6, 1972. The Palestinian militant group, Black September, took the Israeli National team hostage, where 11 athletes were killed along with several others. They originally tried to blame the attack on a German Neo-Nazi group, but Black September was eventually exposed. In September 1997, over the course of two days, 200 Algerian villagers were executed by guerilla soldiers, going from house to house and killing any men, women, and children they could find. The soldiers were armed with machine guns, rifles, and machetes, all in the name of revolting against civil conflicts during the elections. On September 1st, 2004, an Israeli militant group took over 1,100 people hostage, which included over 700 school children. Over the course of three days, the victims were executed, resulting in the death of 334 people, 186 of them being children. This heinous act was all done in the name of independence of the country of Chechnya. Looking over the list, it is rather odd that so many of these terrorist attacks took place during the months of April or September.
