March has been a pretty packed month for Melbourne, with something unique coming nearly each and everyday. The Grand Prix held this year contributed greatly with some awesome movements. We've also had a huge fluctuation of weather, from beautiful golden sunsets to cloudy, miserable days. The biggest news for this month would be the launch of Air Norths Embraer E-170s going to and from Melbourne, Wellcamp Queensland and also Cairns. It's now our 8th domestic airline and a welcomed addition. Hopefully the route goes well for them. Some other big news is Emirates increasing capacity to Melbourne by up-gauging the existing 777-300ER to an A380 on the Singapore route. By doing this they have introduced the medium - short haul A380's to Melbourne and Australia. The bonus of the is the special liveries they wear. Another significant movement is Tigerair Australia's leap into the international market. Kick starting flights to Bali from Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth using a Boeing 737-800. There have been rumors of further expansion with additional A330's although nothing has been set in stone. Qatar Airways have launched flights to Sydney this month and haven't left Melbourne out of their attention. In addition to Sydney's launch, Qatar Airways have re-timed their Melbourne services to be roughly the same time as Sydney, meaning a daylight arrival. Been a long time coming. The Grand Prix also granted us the chance to see some military aircraft. Having 3 RAAF F/A - 18 Hornets, 2 Globemasters and a KC-30 in town for it. I was fortunate enough to see the Hornets which is always a treat! -------------------------- Aircraft in the video ---------------------------------- 00:00 - Emirates Airbus A380-800 - A6-EEZ 02:43 - Philippine Airlines A330-300 - (75th Anniversary Decal) - RP-C8771 03:35 - AirAsia X A330-300 - 9M-XBC 04:26 - Tigerair Australia 737-800 - VH-VOR 05:05 - Singapore Airlines 777-300 - 9V-SYG 05:33 - Air New Zealand 777-300ER (All Blacks) - ZK-OKQ 06:00 - RAAF F/A - 18 Hornet 06:40 - RAAF C-130J Hercules 07:08 - Qatar Airways Boeing 777-300ER - A7-BAQ 07:39 - Gainjet Boeing 757-200 - Madonna onboard - SX-FRA 08:14 - Emirates A380 - Paris Saint German Livery - A6-EOT 09:52 - Singapore Airlines 777-300ER - 9V-SWF 12:09 - Emirates Airbus A380-800 - A6-EEC 13:25 - Singapore Airlines Cargo Boeing 747-400F - 9V-SFO 14:30 - Qantas Airbus A330-300 - VH-QPE 15:00 - Air North Embraer E-170LR - VH-ANV 16:09 - Singapore Airlines Airbus A330-300 - 9V-STR 16:56 - Emirates Airbus A380-800 - Real Madrid Soccer Team Livery - A6-EOA Links - Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/HD-Melbourne... Hey mate, yes they were the two planes sitting there and everyone was recording. They were on the corner of Operations road.
-
Cool thanks mate for that, I'll try to find the video tomorrow but if so, I'll let you know. Thanks for that cheers:)

Awesome, I usually go on the side of the fence before the white flag. I've seen that you have gone on top of this type of hill. Do you know where that is? I think it's behind the runway. Also if you don't mind me asking, what type of camera do you have? I'm getting the a5000 cannon camera so for its value, hopefully it will be good. Anyway thanks mate, cheers.

Hey mate, sorry I couldn't respond to your message but yes, I did record the Etihad a380 and I'm about to upload it. If you would like, check it out. Thanks mate, love your videos and hopefully one day I can be as good as you.
