Whether it's that dark alleyway you don't like walking along the night, or that scary and abandoned house at the end of the street that looks haunting, here are 5 of the creepiest places on Earth which you can still visit. ★Top 5 Website and Social Media: Top 5 Countdown: http://www.top5countdown.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TopFiveCountdown Twitter: https://twitter.com/Top5_Countdown ★Music provided by Incompetech Link: http://adf.ly/18Uj81 ★Countdown subjects: Number 5 Disneyland I know what you're probably thinking. How could a place designed to be amusing and entertaining for both children and adults alike be such a scary place? But in 2009, after the park had been closed, security cameras caught what looked like to be a ghostly apparition walking around the park. The footage you're seing is actual footage from the security cameras that night. You can even see the ghostly figure apparently walking through a closed gate. Now, wether the video shows a simple ghlitch in the recording, a ghost of a Disney Land worker or even the ghost of Walt Disney himself, we don't know. But this does make me whonder who, or what is actually under those creepy Mickey Mouse costumes. Number 4 Pripyat Pripyat is the abandoned city next to the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and is one of the most irradiated places on Earth. Now, excluding the obvious abandoned buildings, playgrounds and overgrown vegetation that look to be straight out of a horror movie, scientists and hunters visiting the area have caught on some occasions animals and aquatic life that looked deformed or even grown out of proportions. Some of the animals even looked like they were beginning to grow extra limbs or even an extra head. Wildlife and even vegetation was prone to developing tumors due to the high lefels of radiation that react with the DNA by breaking it down and resulting in such mutations. So, if you've ever wanted to be part of a post-apocalyptic scenario, then make sure to grab your gas mask and air filters, your weapon of choice and sufficient supplies because Pripyat is waiting. Number 3 Island of the Dolls Located in a swamp in the middle of Mexico this old abandoned island was ocupied by a single inhabitant named Don Julian Santana Barrera. The legend says a young lady drowned in the lake and took her doll with her. After a while the doll appeared floating in the water. Santana Barrera took the doll and hung it up in a tree as a sign of respect. But over 50 years dolls started floating in the water from time to time and Santana Barrera took all of them and hung them in the trees. The story became well known in 2001 when Berrera was found dead in the same place where the little girl died. It’s funny that this place is a popular tourist attraction. I wonder how many people would spend their vacation in a place that would give them nightmares. I mean, why would you even go to Bahamas or Dubai or Las Vegas when you have Island of the dolls?! Because drowning in a haunted lake sounds so much better than sunbathing on a beach. Number 2 The Aokigahara Forest The forest is located at the base of Mount Fuji in Japan and is also known as Suicide Forest. It’s the second most famous spot around the world to commit suicide after San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge. In the last 50 years more than 500 people have taken their lives here. The Government even put signs with messages like: “Life is a precious thing, please reconsider” and “Think of your family”. Even with these signs, people are still going into the suicide forest with no expectations of coming back. The more disturbing thing is that robbers are entering the forest every day in order to loot dead bodies. Yea because people going into the forest to suicide will surely bring cellphones, laptops and jewelries with them. Like, really, how psycho can you be in order to spend your whole life to find dead bodies in order to loot their suicide note instead of getting a job. Number 1 The Catacombs of Paris The catacombs of Paris are a series of underground old caves, quarries and tunnels underneath the streets of Paris dag in the late 18th century. They are all formed from the human skulls and bones from about 6 to 7 million dead parisiens. Inside the catacombs there are ossuaries which means buildings made out of bones. It is said that the catacombs absorbs the sound so you can’t hear anyone screaming even if it’s close to you. Those tunnels go on for over 200 miles, not all of which has been mapped, but most of them are closed to the public. Those caught exploring unauthorised sections of the network could end up out of pocket. Sure, I bet there are many cops around patrolling the catacombs in order to make sure that all the ghosts around are safe from the human intruders.
