DUBAI: Dubai International Airports is anticipating to witness further growth this year, Abdulla Mohammed Bin Khediya, Head of Cargo Services at Dubai Airports revealed in Dubai on Sunday at the sideline of the during the two-day Region Africa and Middle East (RAME-2015) conference. He said that with Dubai hosting the Expo 2020 the volume of cargo and passenger is also expected to go up. The conference is focused on identifying and solving local industry problems in the logistics and freight industry. Held under the patronage of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, president of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, chairman of Dubai Airports and chairman and chief executive of Emirates Airline and Group, the RAME-2015 conference of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) is being held at the Intercontinental - Festival City. RAME is the regional body within FIATA that came into existence in the year 2000. The conference’s primary goal is to bring forward regional issues, prepare them for discussion in the Institutes and technical bodies of FIATA and provide solutions for problems in the logistics industry as well as network regionally. In order to make it special, the host which is the National Association of Freight and Logistics – NAFL has also extended invitations to all logistics players and freight forwarders in the Indian subcontinent, with a focus on India and Pakistan. Around 500 delegates from the RAME region, India and Pakistan are participating in the two-day event that will provide opportunities to create lasting business relationships.
