Across the world with Emirates Part 1 Part one of my trip to London, and we start on Emirates Flight EK441 from Adelaide to Dubai Emirates began service to Adelaide on the 1st of November 2012, and the service has been very popular, with excellent load factors throughout the last year. Our flight was completely full. After boarding our aircraft (A6-ECA - Delivered on the 7/5/2007) we get settled in for the 13 hours flight. After listening to the glorious GE90-115B's startup, we taxi out to the end of runway 05, then its time to kick the tires and light the fires! And before we know it, where up and off for our flight to Dubai. The weather had been quite crappy throughout the day, and as expected, we started off by flying into a 205km/h headwind. And as you see in the video, it was quite bumpy to begin with (the camera takes a lot of the movement out), but my main train of thought was "205km/h headwind? Oh god, this is gonna be a LOOOOONNNNGGGG flight!" Thankfully however we soon climbed out of the strong headwind. This flight is entirely at night, so there isn't much to see unfortunately! The Emirates 777's have the really cool star effect on the roof, a very nifty touch in my opinion. Now the main complaint I hear about the Emirates 777's is that they are very cramped with the 3-4-3 config. And in my opinion, i found these claims to be way over exaggerated. I didn't at once feel cramped in my seat, and the seats had very generous pitch and recline. My only complaints would be a lack of a foot rest and navigating the isles can be difficult when the carts are out, but overall i was more than comfortable. The service was faultless and 13 hours later we where on approach into Dubai, and then we touch down and roll up past masses and masses of parked Emirates Aircraft, before disembarking and heading to the Terminal for our connecting flight to London Gatwick.
