A business class trip report from Berlin to Abu Dhabi on Air Berlin. We travel on an Airbus A330 and the report covers the free chauffeur drive service, Berlin Tegel airport, the lounge, the flight and inflight service of lunch and a snack. This flight is tremendous value for redeeming Avios points at 25,000 each way and taxes of £40, especially when it includes chauffeur drive at each end. A great way of getting from Europe to the Middle East.

Why are you complaining about Air Berlin? Their only point to improve is the entertainment system (it should offer a wider selection of films, music and stuff). It's not bad at all, FAs are kind and precise.

Air Berlin is typical for Berlin a desaster in Service, unfriendly, unreliable and for what it is expensive. One of their captain revealed that is a party airline and the did not book beds for flight attendants, though they always sleeps in "another bed". This was in the newspapers. I am waiting to their f***ing death. And I am a native Berliner !, but this is like our city, full of shit.

you have been quite lucky that Berlin airport had enough deicing fluids; usually, due to mismanagement that fluid runs out (because mgmt. predicted there wont be any snowfall this winter)

Thanks for sharing your experience! I am just hesitating to try Air Berlin`s C class while being a long time Star Alliance member. Although I reached Sapphire on oneworld I should give it try soon. :o) And yes, I fully agree with your TXL opinion. Please keep this airport open as long as possible. It looks quite promising. :)

Great video! I think the AB Business class is not the best in the world but it´s run with a heart for the passenger and it looks comfortable. I like AB very much!
