"Baba Yetu" Composed by Christopher Tin Recorded live at the Navy Band's Concerts on the Avenue series at the United States Navy Memorial in 2015. Featuring Musician 1st Class Bill Edwards. "Baba Yetu" was composed in 2005 by Chinese American composer Christopher Tin for the video game "Civilization IV." In 2010, the piece was nominated for a Grammy award in the "Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist(s)" category. It went on to be named the winner of that category in Feb. 2011, making it the first piece of music composed for a video game to be nominated and win a Grammy award. The lyrics are a Swahili translation of "Lord's Prayer."

Awesome, This is the best version of Baba Yetu......All the choirs and Bands who have tried this before need to listen to this......Being a Swahili speaker and Former Brass Band player of B-Flat Euphonium, I concur that this is well done. The Soloist is spot on...hitting the notes very well.......
