Pattaya Blue Sky Hotel Review - from around $38 Pattaya Blue Sky is another place said to be the best value hotel in all of Pattaya. It is another one of 'Pattaya's best kept secrets' and is touted as a 4-star hotel with a 3-star price tag. It is a guest friendly hotel with 63 rooms. This hotel is often fully booked up, especially in the high season with many repeat customers staying. So I booked myself in and will give you the low down of my stay. If you are thinking of booking Pattaya Blue Sky or another similar hotel in the $20-40 range, make sure to read this website post for more information including essential booking tips: http://bangkok112.com/pattaya-best-hotels-20-to-40-a-night/ I stayed in July 2016, and paid 1320 baht for a 32 sq. m. superior room booking just a couple of days before staying. I thought it was good value overall, but if you book further in advance you can normally get the rooms a little bit cheaper. Pattaya Blue Sky is guest friendly, so there is no extra charge to bring back a lady friend (they even provide a condom in the room). The location is quiet at night, as it's in the middle of soi 5 (street 5) surrounded by other hotels and apartment complexes. The beach is just a 2 minute walk away, and it's 3 minutes to reach Soi 6 (bar area). Beach road and Second road are close by so you can catch the baht buses easily to get around (10 baht per journey). My room was big, spotlessly clean and everything was in working order. My room had a huge balcony outside, but only the rooms near the front of the hotel get a sea view. TV was good, with Western cable channels available. Kettle and coffee facilities provided, along with an in room safe. Free WIFI was ok and there were no connectivity issues when I stayed. Bathroom was good, everything worked fine. The rain shower was amazing and probably the best I've ever tried at a hotel in this price point. Room service is available 7:30am - 8:00pm. Nice rooftop pool and big enough to swim a few lengths. When I stayed in July 2016 the pool area was quiet and I even had it all to myself one evening. The fitness centre was a decent size and had cardio machines and also free weights available for use. No place is perfect, I can find faults anywhere and these were the negatives: No tea bags provided in the room (I'm really nitpicking here!) Mattresses was a little on the firm side, but not a deal breaker Lift - a bit slow, I had to wait a minute for it once (yeah, I'm really nitpicking now!!!) No 7-Eleven right on the doorstep - the closest is on beach road along with a family mart. Mototaxi drivers are only available at the Beach Road end. Overall: It's a great hotel for a great price. Very clean, spacious and functional. The service was also definitely above average - they let me checkout at 2pm too when I was hungover. A good location, great for the beach and getting around, close enough to the bar areas but still quiet enough to sleep well. No place is perfect, and Pattaya Blue Sky does have a few very minor flaws. But I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it if it falls in within your budget.
