Boeing's 757 is one of the most aesthetically appealing airliners around. Because of its relatively narrow and long fuselage, it looks very elegant, especially in the -300 version. And to my mind the livery of German leisure airline Condor (DE/CFG) still adds to this impression. The take-off itself is rather unsteady here and it's all my fault ;), because I didn't position my tripod good enough and combined with the 500mm focal length I wasn't used to at the time, I lost track of the aircraft a bit, but I think the video is good enough anyway. The aircraft shown is D-ABOB, a Boeing 757-300 that first flew in 1999 and has been part of Condor's fleet ever since. It can be seen here taxiing to and taking off from runway 26R at Leipzig/Halle airport (LEJ/EDDP) in Saxony (Germany). Wegen ihres relativ langen, schmalen Rumpfes wirkt sie sehr elegant, vor allem in der -300er-Version. Und ich finde die Lackierung der deutschen Ferienfluggesellschaft Condor (DE/CFG) steigert diesen Eindruck sogar noch. Der unmittelbare Start sieht hier ziemlich wackelig aus und daran bin ich selbst schuld ;), denn ich hatte mein Stativ nicht richtig positioniert und zusammen mit einer Brennweite von 500mm, an die ich zu dieser Zeit noch nicht gewöhnt war, hat dazu geführt, dass ich dem Flugzeug zwischenzeitlich nicht mehr richtig folgen konnte, aber ich glaube das Video ist dennoch gut genug. Die gezeigte Maschine ist D-ABOB, eine Beoing 757-300 die zum ersten Mal 1999 flog und seitdem zu Condor-Flotte gehört. Sie ist hier beim Rollen zur Start- und Landebahn 26L des Flughafens Leipzig/Halle (LEJ/EDDP) und dem Start von dort zu sehen.
