CRESCENT MOON TOWER According to the conditions of the Architectural Design Idea Competition for the erection of a Tall Emblem Structure in Za'abeel Park in Dubai, UAE, the proposed structure should signify the new face of Dubai, promote tourism, recreational, scientific and cultural activities. According to the intent, the idea of the origins is embedded in the shape of the building. It is a crescent which identifies Dubai as belonging to the Islamic world. On the other hand, the very fact that such a structure can be erected, the state-of-the-art technologies applied is a manifestation of the modern level of technical and economic development of Dubai. The building was designed to accommodate a children's library, a conference facility, cafes, a restaurant and an open-air observation platform in the top part of the structure, all intended to make the building a multi-purpose destination, popular among the locals and tourists alike.
