Edward Snowden is certainly on my "top 3 people i would like to meet in person"... a talk with him is totally worth a trip to Putin's realm....
-
Poor Snowden. I knew about him ever since he came out.

Does anyone else think this guy is NOT funny??
-
Prism is how they "pull your junk out" of Google. Lol

John Oliver's face at 22:14 - the moment he realizes "Oh God...he has no idea that Americans just don't seem to care anymore."

Most people live their lives focused on just that. Their lives. Average Joe's coming home from a nine to five, a couple of kids maybe. They come home eat processed shit that is made with chemicals they can't pronounce, use devices that they can't explain how they work. They're worried about making ends meet, their relationships, happiness, the list goes on so when they get an hour to themselves the last thing these people do is check out the latest news on govt. policies, economics, food and drugs. Right or wrong this is the reality and Snowden was just too naive to realize it. I can't bring myself to feel bad for the guy that gave up a great life when he didn't even bother to get to know exactly what kind of country he was living in or the people that make it up.

It's not about Americans that do not understand it's about people in general.
-
I truly bow to this spin. Honestly, amazing.
-
If I were that congresswoman, I'd be so pissed!
-
At least if Snowden wanted to, he could possibly visit Oymyakon if he is intrested in extreme temperatures.
-
... Is this what American TV is like? It feels off...

Absolute Freedom and absolute Privacy lead to eough safety for those who want safety and are willing to give up privacy and freedom for that.

6:13 Not the Times or Snowden's fault on the redacted information being left behind in a Powerpoint slide. This is a classic screw up by the authority that is redacting the document; has happened countless times in the past on both leaked and never leaked documents. Only individuals who know what information is Top Secret can perform the redaction. Information that still available in a document that's been redacted is not Top Secret. Neither the Times or Snowden or anyone else without the clearance and access to the information can make the determination that a piece of information is Top Secret. Except in cases like these where the individual with the need to know and clearance screws up.

How is it speech and communications are "tangible?" A tangible item is a thing that is perceptible by touch. Congress is using the word in the accounting sense which has been broadened in the electronic transaction age to computer records of money assets. Congress f'd up there own intentions probably but I think it's a valid point. Since when did my speech become an asset or a liability? Or maybe this is the source of confusion that brings us politically correct speaking behavior, or sanctioning countries for bad behavior that, even if true, might only amount to manipulating information.
Let's find the Constitutional Law case for SCOTUS where we can chant "Sticks and stones will break my bones but names will never hurt me." on the steps of the court. -
So, if you are in another country and you use Google, could they see the information?

when oliver stopped snowden and compared him to the IT guy, it was hilarious but was anyone else genuinely intrigued into what Snowden was saying before he was cut off...?
