The Public Bus Transport system in the Emirate of Dubai is run by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). Over 504 peak bus schedules are run on 62 bus routes across 168,000 kilometers on a working day. Around 250,000 passengers travel on the system per day. The bus routes span the whole length and breadth of 4,110 square kilometers area of the Emirate of Dubai. You board the bus through the front door and exit through the rear door. Three rows of seats in the front of the bus are reserved for lady passengers. You are not permitted to eat, drink or smoke on the bus.
