Wash the filters in the sink - 100% bad idea. Mitsubishi filters are impregnated with anti-bacterial and washing them in the sink will completely destroy them.

My only one concern is that big hole in my brand new house. My mom can't tolerate the AC bellow 75 we live in Florida, horrible weather. I can't sleep at 75 degrees. Too hot for me, I need one of this AC'S asap.👀👀👀

I would spray those flare nut connections with leak detector while the system is under pressure test, also the vacuum pump is more to remove moisture and air from the system not just the nitrogen.

I think ductless is the way to go if you have less than 1500 square feet or live in a humid area. I still wouldn't feel comfortable installing it myself though...

+1. .. What is the noise level of the interior unit? .. Unobtrusive so much that an office environment use is possible? .. Super retrofit application if? .. retrofit is your application. ..What is the maximum distance (in feet) btw condenser and evaporator?

you should use a spring bender on those copper lines to make sure they dont kink .

Its really awesome that the unit is already charged. So I take it if your in Cali, you dont need a HVAC license if you wanted to install one yourself?

The one downside I can see to this is that it means that the garage door should remain closed as much as possible when the unit is running. If you're doing work where you need to continually enter and leave the work space, that's not optimal.

Question: for all that is right and proper, WHY WOULD YOU INSTALL THIS WHEN IT'S IN THE MIDDLE OF UNBEARABLE TEMPS??? Install it at night. Install it on a cooler day. Install it when it's not frickin' summer!
