I had a 16 hr layover in singapore and that airport is the sh** for real-- they had a 24hr free movie louge, showers, sleeping lounges, child playgrounds, and a butterfly sanctuary!!! 😮

Slept in BCN, it was fine. However, if you do plan to sleep overnight, make sure you have a way of securing your bag to something. I use a pacsafe bag which has a cable lock to attach to the chair I was sleeping to and is slash proof. You cant just pick it up and go and I doubt people are running around the airport with wire cutters, so my paranoia of being robbed was limited (especially when you have camera stuff with you.)

about to sleep over at an airport...oh gosh

I'm 16, my dad works for an airline in the US, I have slept in New York, San Francisco, Atlanta, Seattle, Los Angeles, Boston, Denver, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Anchorage, Detroit and Houston all this year, fuck adult supervision, I do shit the right way.

I had a 12 hour Layover in Amsterdam. CRUCIAL TIP YALL: Pack a fresh pair of clothes and multiple underwear in your carry on so that you can take a shower at the airport (usually available. At Schipol this summer it was under construction so you had to pay 15 Euro to rent out a private bathroom in the hotel), or at least change clothing!

I've slept in Toronto International and LAX.

This video has reminded me the time I visited Paris; next day I had a early flight to Barcelona from Beauvais Airport and the security told me that they are closing the airport at 11.30 pm and I was planning to sleep at the airport....

I was waiting for my bus to central London from luton from one in the morning till seven plus and I slept at the arrival terminal. there were rows of chairs, so many people were bunking. It was the plastic hard ones that were soldered together and i slept upright, had an arm looped around the handle of my luggage, and slept. Lol. When I got thirsty or needed the toilet, I made eye contact with some dude beside, imploring him wordlessly and left. The funniest part was that he did the same too, lol, Travel etiquette. Don't be a douche, lol.

Auckland International Airport has clean, lockable showers for FREE! Just pay $5 key deposit which you get back upon returning the key.

14 hour overnight layover in Mexico City. I've done this twice, as it is so uncomfortable. I saw some people on the floor, but I sat on a tiny metal bench and it was absolutely freezing (because I was near an entrance and both times were in October and November). Couldn't really sleep because of my luggage, but at least there was free WiFi and I was near an outlet.

My plane from Tokyo to Denmark was cancelled because of a Typhoon (oh yes). Sadly my friend and I didn't know until we came to the airport located a bit outside of Tokyo. So we had a good 12 hours in the airport (also unable to check in our luggage). Luckily the airport had free wifi, and a convenient store called "FamilyMart" was open. Hurry to the store for food! They have limited sushi and other delicious food - but not enough for an entire plane!

FUCKING AWESOME MAN

When we did an overnight layover in Amsterdam we got to check our bag all the way to Newark and didn't have to go get it. I think it must depend on the airport and country.

i had a 5 hr layover in copenhagen airport last month and since i got no sleep on my flight there, i decided to take advantage of my few hours on solid ground and use them for sleep. but i was so anxious about missing my flight, even though i changed my phone to the current time zone and i set like 15 alarms and triple checked to make sure it was on the right time, on pm instead of am.
so basically yeah, i think i got about 20 minutes of sleep in total because my nerves prevented me from falling asleep. -
