On the early morning hours of September 11th, 2015 we got one of the best Aurora displays of the year! This is the results of that magical night. Apologies for some of the jerky camera moves. It's incredibly difficult to concentrate on smooth moves when this is going on above you. ;-) Music by Jo Blankenburg Used with permission and Licensed at SongFreedom.com "Imperatrix Mundi" "Chimeran Empire" "Conquest of Antaria" "Praetorian Guards" Filmed with the Sony a7S, Rokinon 24mm f/1.4 and Atomos Shogun All footage is captured at 24fps in and played back in real-time.

How do you call this kind of music? I mean, not this song in particular but the "style"... And yes, love the video. If it wasn't thanks to guys like you, I
living in the Atacama desertwould have never seen something like this. At least not in movement, so thanks. Truly. -
I am armed and ready with the A7Sii and same lens. Not long to go and I will be in Lapland for a few weeks and I cant contain my excitement. This video is my inspiration. I have never used a full frame camera nor videod anything like this before. I take a lot of photos of the Aurora once a year but never video. I even invested in a slider and decent tripod. I have very little time to learn to use the camera so any tips would be welcomed from all the experts :-) I love your videos. They are the best.

Where is that location? It is better in Jan-march or that season?

i had no idea they morphed so rapidly . the northern lights in real time are so much better than the time laps vids . truly stunning . thanx for the vid bro .

Wow so beautiful. Thank you for posting these Aurora videos in real time! I was always looking to see how they looked without the timelapse and they are hard to find real time. Great videos!
-
It's blurry
-
what did you use for the panning shots? Was it just a tripod with a ball head? It is pretty smooth movement. I am hoping to see the Northern lights like this soon. I have seen them before lightly in the sky where I live but nothing like this.

Is it possible to know the country where you are to see these Aurora ? It's so magical :)

-
yay!!! finally I found a video of the northern lights without time lapse!
Thank you! -
Would you mind telling exactly where you were standing when you captured this beautiful footage? The reason I ask is because on September 11, 2015, sometime after 1:00 a.m., I was standing in the parking lot of a boat ramp for the Little Chena River immediately off Nordale Road watching an amazing display of lights. I was taking photos left and right and a little video but my camera wasn’t set properly and my photos were disappointing to say the least. When I watch your video it’s as if I’m reliving the experience because it looks so much exactly like what I remember I saw that night. I would love to know where I was in relationship to where you were so I can be sure this is the same “show”. I want to share your video with my family so they can see what I saw but I want to be sure it is what I saw.
I know there are hundreds of videos of the Auroras out there but if this is the very same display, it would mean so much to me. My email address is mygalmel@gmail.com.
Thank you for considering my request and mega thanks for sharing your beautiful work. -
the music says it better than words could ever.

Hey Ronn, I have a gig in Romania, lots of music, psychedelic, blues, experimental, and I was thinking of projecting this on the background, with your name and everything displayed. Would that be okay with you? I know most people wouldn't even bother to ask, but this is beautiful work.

Um espetáculo!

At the 4:50 mark you caught a satellite, nice! Toward the mid to bottom left of the screen

Aha! This is what I was looking for! That other one of yours, I enjoyed the creative cinematography, but I wanted to see the aurora dance, not the camera :)
Both vids are totally worth watching - and great choice of music, too.
