International Yoga Day 2015 was celebrated in Portland, Oregon, by hundreds of people in Pioneer Courthouse Square. They joined people all over the world for the first UN recognized "International Day of Yoga" on June 21st. The Portland day was packed with yoga classes, musical performances, moving meditation, dances, and cultural groups on stage. Booths surrounding the square featured a kids' corner, a massage section, healthy food and drink, and yoga apparel and accessories. There was something for everyone! The Yoga Day Portland Schedule was as follows - with the video capturing highlights of most of it! 9:00 a.m. Traditional Indian Violin and Drum Performance 9:30 a.m. Sun Salute Warm Up Flow with Leah Marshall 10:40 a.m. Traditional Indian Drum Ensemble 11:15 a.m. Beginning Focus, Yoga for Dads! with Tony Roberts 12:00 p.m. Indian Dance Performance and Interactive Class led by Jayanthi Raman 12:30 p.m. Super Hero, Strength and Power Flow with Hanna Shoen 1:30 p.m. Standing Movement Meditation with Vidura Walker And finally, the day's events ended with a kirtan for world peace.
