Alanya is a district of Antalya province, nestled between the sea and the magnificent Taurus mountains. The population of the relatively small city swells in the summer season with the arrival of visitors of all nationalities. On Turkey’s southern coast Alanya has become one of the world’s best known tourist destinations because it’s a city where the sun’s light, the sea, holiday atmosphere, relaxation, peace, entertainment and sport come together in one place. At the same time it’s a town combining sport and culture. Throughout the year the triathlon, the international swimming marathon, the cycling tournaments and the beach volleyball tournament are hosted in Alanya.
