Please visit http://www.translator-dubai.ae/ or http://www.matteo-ippoliti.com/ for more information LEGAL TRANSLATION ITALIAN / ENGLISH IN UAE - TRADUZIONI LEGALIZZATE ITALIANO / INGLESE IN EAU DUBAI All documents issued in Italy, which are to be submitted to an official Government authority in the United Arab Emirates, must be attested and stamped by the UAE Embassy in Rome. This goes for documents such as Articles of Association Chamber of Commerce Registration Resolutions of the Board of Directors Power of Attorney Memorandum of association Deed of Assignment Agent’s appointment Registration of trademarks, patents, inventions Degree certificates etc. When legal translation in English or Arabic of Italian of documents is required the following steps should be followed: Step 1 - Sworn Translation After the document is translated by a professional translator, it must be “sworn” at an Italian Law court. There will be fixed stamp duties levied according to the number of pages. Each Italian law court has different guidelines for “sworn” translations with regard to language combinations, office hours etc. We regularly work with several law courts in Italy so we have the ability to find the best and most effective solution for your needs. Step 2 - Legalization at the Prefect Office/Public Prosecutor office The “sworn” translation must be subsequently legalized and stamped at the local Prefect’s office / Public Prosecutor office. This step does not imply any stamp duty but it takes up to 5 working days. Only after this step the translation can be submitted to the UAE Consulate in Rome. Step 3 - Legalization at the UAE Consulate The UAE consulate will attest automatically the translated documents bearing the stamp of the Prefect’s office / Public Prosecutor office. Stamp duties range from 40 euros to 800 euros depending on the type of document. Please visit THIS LINK for a detailed list of costs. This step will take approximately 24-48 hours. Step 4 – Attestation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the UAE The documents legalized in Italy will be automatically stamped by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the UAE. Attestation of original documents If the attestation of original documents in English or in Italian is required, such as board resolutions, degree certificates etc, the original documents must be legalized beforehand by an Italian notary and subsequently by the Prefect’s office / Public Prosecutor office from the same area. For diplomas or certificates, if the original is required by the receiving authority, they should be legalized by the relevant Government authority. Only after this step they can be stamped by the UAE Consulate in Rome and sent to the UAE where the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs will automatically attest and stamp the documents.
