Wow!! Loved that video!!
-
747-100 looks rather striking in those BOAC colors, is that just me?
-
the VC10 was just an amazing airplane. thanks for this look back in time!
-
Looked so much more interesting than all the usual Boeing and Airbus aircraft seen there today, shame these old birds get retired.
-
Excellent video. If you didn't state the dubbing upfront, I would never have known the original was a silent film.
Kudos! -
God I love the VC-10. What a superb design,
-
old smoky planes
-
That last BOAC livery was so elegant. It looked the best on the VC-10.
-
I know it's for the better, but I kinda miss the black exhaust belching from those old turbojet engines. Still see that to an extent with the MD-88s that fly out of CLT to ATL, but not so much.

Wow! My friend you have hit another home run. Tridents, Super VC-10's, 747-100's (with auxiliary inlets), and an Alitalia DC-8 with turbojets. There actually was a time when air travel was fun, exciting, comfortable and the planes looked and sounded great too. Thanks again!
-
T-tail jet era.So many Tridents.
-
How do you dub a video like this? Like how do you get the audio to match so perfectly?
-
Ye those V10s are amazing, and the 707s but they are not allowed to fly over Europe. Thats the EU for you.
-
Quite noisy
-
dang vc10 got some wing flex!
-
Not a single thumbs down and
I can see why. -
I used to plane watch a lot at JFK in the early 70s. I remember BOAC had a VC-10 flt. from LHR to JFK which continued on to BDA (Bermuda) and then back the same way. Great days.
-
I flew Pan Am 747 flt. 100 from JFK to LHR in Oct.'75. I still remember film I watched on board. The Wind And The Lion with Sean Connery.
-
Nice bunch of lovely old birds there!Excellent!
-
Filming so close to the runway! Haven't seen that in a while!
