Gigi Gorgeous shared an emotional post on Instagram after airport personnel in Dubai detained her for several hours because she is transgender. The Canadian model, who candidly documented her transition on YouTube, described the ordeal as "one of the scariest moments of my entire life." "After being detained and held at the Dubai airport for over 5 hours, this was the moment my baby came to rescue me," Gorgeous captioned a photo embracing friend Nats Getty. She continued, "Yesterday was one of the scariest moments of my entire life and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone. How you can be denied entry somewhere just because of who you are is seriously disgusting and also very scary. This further proves the need for CHANGE." The 24-year-old model added that she was "safe and sound and happy" and on her way to "somewhere much more accepting."

It is important to do research on every place a person visits. Some places have racial bigotry...some have gender/sexual bigotry. Some have issues with Americans. It can be dangerous to go to a country if you don't understand the dangers involved with going to said country. Its sad, but its the reality we live in.
People...don't ever put yourself in a situation in which you may not be able to get out of. Always be prepared. Other countries are not as open to American ideals. -
She should have known better

I didn't know this, you definitely can get into Dubai, a friend of mines went and made good money there. They don't have to worry about me, it ain't worth it. Gigi is rich and knows people, if this was Brianna from queens that got caught, she definitely would be in jail getting beat daily.

This is what I don't get. Why would LGBTQ people travel to Muslims and anti-lgbtq countries? I don't care if its for a holiday or a business trip you are going to put your life in danger.
Regardless of the severity of how LGBTQ individuals are treated be it a death penalty to negative social attitudes, YOU STAY GOD DAMN AWAY FROM THOSE SHITTY COUNTRIES. Your own personal safety should always be paramount to you. -
I don't understand why everyone wants to travel to Dubai so bad. It seems like such an awful, backward country.
-
Dubai is so backwards.. making ski resorts in the desert and acting like this to Gigi. They are all sorts of crazy over there. Not worth the time or effort for that mess. Glad she is ok.

I don't know about the name change in 2014 but heard that the marker on her passport says male and not female.
-
It's funny that out of most Muslim countries, Iran is pro transgender.
-
They're rich enough to kick people out their country. Baby. When I tell you- There's a few interviews of girls who went to Dubai & they ended up in jail there. I know they travel there & make LOVELY money. But times are scary. They're onto trans people now.

I know her from one of my subscribers in the past you can't pay me no million $dollars to go there no Ms Raven I go somewhere else

If this is legit then of course I disagree with this happening but "Gigi" damn sure ain't gorgeous and her personality is far worse !
-
And don't DARE travel to Dubai to "work". No ma'am.
-
Other Websites are reporting this is a PR stunt. I wouldn't be surprised. She likes attention and is thirsty for it, this is a perfect platform to get it and keep her "fans" talking. It's working, her F/B is overloading with sympathy and concern. Also, why would she change her name and gender marker on other documents but not her passport? It doesn't make scenes to me. I'm not sure if she has had SRS, if she has, why would she still have a passport with your male and gender on it?
