Dubai - Near death airplane collision with skydiver in free fall

After an uneventful exit.... The pilot dove the airplane 180 degrees right at me and my tandem passenger. how we got so lucky?!?! Not sure. I have never heard of this happening. After some research and talking to friends about it I now know of two other incidents like this. One is on you tube and he did not get as lucky as we did....

Obviously it never occurred to the pilot that a collision was possible. Air space is BIG and separation occurs quickly. Still, since the plane is much faster in a dive than a human being, you would think it would be common practice to fly a safe distance away before diving.

What that dangerous pilot did was VERY wrong, and should be suspended from flying for awhile. Damn. He could of killed those people!! God bless them for surviving, Amen.

Great landing! Still... jumping out of a perfectly good airplane for fun is not my idea of a good time! Takes a special brand of courage if you ask me. Glad this day turned out well for all concerned!
