Have you ever considered how easy it is for us to take for granted the fresh air that we breathe, the clean water that we drink, and the safety we enjoy inside our own homes? We have never felt what it is like to suffer from great misfortune and catastrophe, but at the rate that man is going in destroying the environment, what will the coming years bring? How about those who are, this day, suffering from the loss of home, livelihood, and family due to calamity? We know that you are also concerned about the plight of these victims and about the future of our planet and are wondering how you can help. Through the PAG-ASA NG BUHAY ASSOCIATION, INC., (PNBAI) a non-stock, non-profit organization, (with SEC. REG. No. DN-092-0043) you can help restore and rehabilitate, beautify and preserve our God-given environment and natural resources. On its 20th year of operation, PNBAI has worked unceasingly in environmental projects and in programs to help victims of natural calamities nationwide. To date, we have planted 1,300,000 wood and mangrove trees, conducted more than 1,700 clean-up drives in cities, coastlines and rivers. We are recognized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources as an active advocate and have partnered with the agency in its Green Philippines Highway Program. As one who adopts DENR's Tree for Life Project, we have planted 150,000 trees in the Angat/Norzagaray Watershed, the Magat Dam in Isabela and many others. We have adopted numerous parks including the Wright Park in Baguio City. PNBAI has also built many new homes for the victims of typhoons in the country.
