For the third time in less than 9 months I join another flight not just out of the UK but out of Europe and this time to a new corner of the planet I've not yet explored, The Middle East. Flight departed from Heathrow's Terminal 4, so includes the taxi across runway 27L over to 27R for departure. Also notice the aircraft roll forward to line up, then stop sharply. We had crossed the runway threshold stop line while a British Airways A320 was on approach to land. So we quickly turned around and taxied round in a big circle and waited again for the runway to clear. A great flight down to Doha, plenty of drinks and snacks and a fairly good entertainment system. A few interesting shots of passing traffic, like the Thomson 757 we were racing on its to Dalaman (Turkey). A very smooth landing in the gorgeous brand new Doha Hamad Int'l airport with an extremely impressive terminal! I included a few shots from inside the new terminal. It's absolutely huge but really clear and very easy to navigate through.
