In all our years in the wedding industry, we thought we had seen it all. One groom however, decided to prove us wrong. Salim and Aysha’s wedding was substantial in numbers from 4 helicopters, 35 cars, 45 bikes, 40 drummers, 8 Groomsmen, 8 Bridesmaids a Seaplane and a Jet all for 1 GROOM and 1 BRIDE. The production was on a grand scale, from 3 drone operators, 5 cameramen and 2 editors. Including a deadline to produce a same day edit to be showcased to their 500 guests! The wedding and production involved caused a stir on national media and social media platforms. It has been dubbed the wedding of the century! The groom, Salim Mehajer started his day at McMahon’s point in a luxurious apartment with panoramic views of Sydney Harbour. After dressing in his Alexander Mcqueen suit, he was escorted to the airport to board one of four helicopters he had arranged, to meet his bride in style. Upon arriving, he was then escorted by 35 supercars and 45 bikes supplied by Queen Street Group to his future home to meet his bride. He was greeted by his loving family, friends, neighbours and 40 drummers side by side on a red carpet. To his surprise, national news stations Channel 7 and Channel Nine were waiting to interview the groom at what seems to be Australia’s largest wedding! Meanwhile, the gorgeous bride Aysha was getting ready with her bridesmaids in her custom made Nektaria gown which emulated that of royalty. Upon the groom’s arrival, the bride’s mother lead her to the staircase to give her daughter away to her new husband. The bride was caught by surprise after witnessing the large crowd waiting outside, including news reporters! The couple were both elated and released two doves to symbolise a peaceful future as husband and wife. The film crew and photographers then followed the bride and groom to Hilton’s Marble Bar for a romantic location shoot while the guests made their way to the reception at Le Montage. If the couple didn’t already blow away their guests by the elaborate celebration in the morning, they were sure to blow them away with the amazing décor in the reception. Renowed floral designer Vesna Grasso had transformed the room with 800, 000 blooms, which was styled by Sydney Signature Events and Harbourside Decorators . A large plasma screen was also placed across the lavish bridal table to showcase the pre-wedding trailer and same day edit. It was nothing short of a floral fantasy! To start the celebration, the bride and groom made an elaborate entrance with a number of drummers as their family and friends danced around them. The night continued with special guests Beau Ryan and Missy Higgins, live entertainment and our same day edit! Since then, the grand scale wedding has been shared and talked about on a much broader scale, with news reporting, articles and social media frenzy! All that we can add is that our team absolutely loved and enjoyed working with Salim and Aysha as well as their families and friends. The day was a huge celebration to symbolise the love this couple have for each other. We wish the lovely couple a prosperous and blessed life together as husband and wife. Thankyou for having iconic films on board.
