Jeddah is the second largest city of Saudi Arabia. Located at the Red Sea and being the most important starting point for the hadj it has a more international atmosphere than Riyadh and is therefore more liberal. The video clip shows impressions of the city. I visited Jeddah during our overland trip from the Netherlands to South Africa (my wife was not admitted to Saudi Arabia)

Reading the comments - it's amazing how muslims "pretend" there is nothing wrong. Child rape, incest, FGM, honor killings - all inspired by their prophet. Spouse abuse, child abuse, racism, intolerance, hatred and violence - these are a part of daily life for a Muslim male - again, this is written in the Koran. Worse though - this abuse is enshrined in Shariah Law. There is NO ESCAPE from the abuses in ISLAM.

Guys, I live in Jeddah and it is a city where both modern and old exist side by side. The guy must have wanted to film the traditional, old part of Jeddah. There are really modern places here, I don't visit them cause I can't afford them lol. But that doesn't mean there aren't unaffordable places either! Just take a tour of the Corniche or the Al Shati' District if you're more into modern stuff...
