Dubai - Serbian drug mules busted at Peru airport after confessing to smuggling drugs in their stomachs

Two Serbian nationals are in custody in Peru charged with carrying drugs in their stomachs. As the two Serbian men prepared to board a flight to the Netherlands from Peru August 13th, one of the men, former European basketball player Nikoa Radojicic, began feeling uncomfortable. After deciding the pain was too much to bear, Radojicic, 27, confessed to airport security officials that he was carrying capsules filled with drugs in his stomach. Both he and a 21-year old man identified as Dakic Uros were then arrested and taken to hospital to pass the contraband. X-rays showed each man had swallowed 23 capsules of drugs. During interrogation, the suspects allegedly told police they were given the capsules by a Bulgarian national who has reportedly lived in Peru for two decades. Peruvian authorities say the men face a sentence of at least eight years under a Peruvian statute that gives reduced sentences to drug smuggler who cooperate with police. Peru has become one of the latest popular destinations for outbound drug smuggling. That one is really dumb for just walking up to security and confessing. He should have just left the airport and gone to a hospital. He's probably really regretting he didn't since now almost 1/8 of his life will be spent behind bars.
