Singapore Airlines, SQ 305, London to Singapore on a Boeing 777-300ER, New Business Class. I was on my way home.Singapore Airlines departs from London Heathrow Terminal 2, the brand new Queen's Terminal. I had some hours of layover, as I was connecting from Canada. Time Stamps for easy reference: 0:20 - Seat 17A 2:24 - The menu - check out what we have to eat! 4:26 - The IFE system 5:27 - Take off! 6:30 - Check out just how wide the seat is! 7:26 - Satay is served 8:31 - First course, Yum Woon Sen Kung, marinated Thai style prawns with vermicelli salad 8:54 - Lobster Thermidor from Book the Cook. Gorgeous presentation! 10:50 - Bed mode, very comfortable indeed At the gates, I almost could't recognize the Boeing 777-300ER, as it was painted in the Star Alliance livery and not the traditional Singapore Airlines livery. After spending some time at the United Club lounge as well as the SilverKris Lounge, I boarded the SQ plane about 30 minutes before departure. Looking forward to it, as this was my first time in the New Business Class. The new product did not disappoint. The J cabin felt very private and even luxurious. The fittings were new and the seat felt very comfortable. The J cabin was full. The flight departed on time and was very smooth all the way back to Singapore. Lunch was served and it was superb. I used the 'Book the Cook' service and chose the Lobster Thermidor. The presentation was fantastic - different from the lobster thermidor out of Singapore. I think the Lobster from the London kitchen is bigger, with much more meat! (Watch the video) I had a good 7 hours of sleep and arrived back in Singapore refreshed for the day's work ahead. Well done, Singapore Airlines. You are a great way to fly.
