A fire broke out at the Oceana apartment building in Dubai on the evening of Monday, December 11. Flames from the fire could be seen burning on multiple floors of the 14-storey luxury apartment building on the Palm Jumeirah, a man-made island, as seen in this video. The National newspaper reported that the building was safely evacuated and Dubai Civil Defence extinguished the fire.

W'Salaam Aleikem. I hope everyone is safe, and that the rest of the building was spared. I'm especially glad that the building did not collapse into its own footprint at free fall speed. I guess our American engineers and designers have a lot to learn from Dubai professionals. Dubai has created a jewel over their with its bold and daring feats of architecture.
