Dubai newcomers – Two brand new theme parks have opened their doors to visitors in Dubai, and are vying for the hearts of the city's fun-seekers. By the beach – The new parks, IMG Worlds of Adventure and Dubai Parks & Resorts, are located within easy reach of Dubai's beach resorts and feature everything from a Lego Taj Mahal to laser games and fast rides. Wild rides – Both theme parks feature hundreds of child-friendly rides and thrilling roller coasters. IMG Worlds of Adventure – A paradise for film fans, this 1.5 million square feet think 28 football fields has a 12-screen cinema and has been deemed the world's largest indoor theme park. Dubai Parks and Resorts – This massive space contains four interconnecting theme parks: Legoland Dubai, Legoland Water Park, Bollywood Parks and the Hollywood-themed Motiongate. Lego castles – Young Lego lovers can enter the Kingdoms Castle, and jump onto one of the dragon rides. Miniature Taj Mahal – Legoland Dubai hosts a collection of miniature Lego palaces such as the Taj Mahal. Penguins at Ski Dubai – IMG Worlds of Adventure and Dubai Parks & Resorts may be facing off against each other, but they're not the only parks here. Inside Ski Dubai. In the slopes – The adventurous can ski or snowboard at the indoor mountain slope or take a lift to the alpine cafe at the top and sip on a cup of hot cocoa. Cool camping – For those who want to hit the slopes first thing, there's camping on ice. Waterparks – Located right beside the sail-shaped Burj Al Arab Jumeirah and the wave-shaped Jumeirah Beach Hotel, the family-friendly waterpark Wild Wadi has an Arabian folklore theme.
