The crash occurred during the Battle in Shakhtarsk Raion, According to American and German intelligence sources, the plane was shot down by pro-Russian insurgents using a Buk surface-to-air missile. 8- Saudia Flight 163 was a scheduled passenger flight of Saudia that caught fire after takeoff from Riyadh International Airport on a flight to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, 19 August 1980. All 287 passengers and 14 crew on board died after the aircraft made an emergency landing back at the Riyadh airport. 7- Air India Flight 182 was an Air India flight operating on the Montreal, Canada–London, UK –Delhi, India route. On 23 June 1985, this Boeing 747-237B was destroyed by a bomb at an altitude of 31,000 feet (9,400 m). It crashed into the Atlantic Ocean while in Irish airspace. A total of 329 people were killed, Canadian law enforcement determined that the main suspects in the bombing were members of the Sikh militant groupBabbar Khalsa. 6- Turkish Airlines Flight 981 was a McDonnell Douglas DC-10 that crashed outside Paris, France, on 3 March 1974, killing all 346 people on board. The crash was caused when an improperly secured cargo door at the rear of the plane broke off, causing an explosive decompression which severed cables necessary to control the aircraft. 5- The Charkhi Dadri mid-air collision occurred on 12 November 1996 over the village of Charkhi Dadri, to the west of New Delhi,India. The aircraft involved were a Saudi Arabian Airlines Boeing 747-100B en route from Delhi to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, and a Kazakhstan Airlines Ilyushin Il-76 en route from Chimkent, Kazakhstan, to Delhi. The crash killed all 349 people on board both planes. 4- Japan Airlines Flight 123 was a scheduled domestic Japan Airlines passenger flight from Haneda Airport to Osaka International Airport, Japan. On Monday, August 12, 1985, a Boeing 747SR operating this route suffered mechanical failure 12 minutes into the flight. The aircraft's aft pressure bulkhead tore open due to a preexisting defect, stemming from a panel that had been incorrectly repaired after a tailstrike accident years earlier. This caused an explosive decompression. With the aircraft's flight controls disabled, the aircraft became uncontrollable. All 15 crew members and 505 of the 509 passengers on board died. It is the deadliest single-aircraft accident in history. 3- The Tenerife airport disaster was a fatal runway collision between two Boeing 747s on Sunday, March 27, 1977 at Los Rodeos Airport. The crash killed 583 people, making it the deadliest accident in aviation history. A bomb explosion at Gran Canaria Airport, and the threat of a second bomb, caused many aircraft to be diverted to Los Rodeos Airport. As a result of several misunderstandings, the KLM flight tried to take off while the Pan Am flight was still on the runway. The resulting collision destroyed both aircraft, killing all 248 aboard the KLM flight and 335 of 396 aboard the Pan Am flight. Sixty-one people aboard the Pan Am flight, including the pilots and flight engineer, survived the disaster. Unavoidable 2- United Airlines Flight 175 was a scheduled domestic passenger flight from Logan International Airport, in Boston, Massachusetts, to Los Angeles International Airport, in Los Angeles, California. On September 11, 2001, the Boeing 767-200 operating the route was hijacked by five al-Qaeda terrorists and flown into the South Tower of the World Trade Center in New York City, killing all 65 people aboard and an unconfirmed number in the building's impact zone. 1- American Airlines Flight 11 was a domestic passenger flight that was hijacked by five al-Qaeda members on September 11, 2001, as part of the September 11 attacks. They deliberately crashed it into the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York City. Fifteen minutes into the flight, the hijackers injured at least three people (possibly killing one), forcibly breached the cockpit, and overpowered the captain and first officer. The aircraft crashed into the North tower of the World Trade Center at 08:46:40 local time. The impact and subsequent fire caused the North Tower to collapse 102 minutes after the crash, resulting in hundreds of additional casualties. 87 (plus 5 hijackers), and approximately 1,600 (including emergency workers) at the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
