When you’ve been doing this job as long as we have, you get used to the idea that truth is stranger than fiction. History, science, art… they’re all full of factoids that seem implausible on the surface, but turn out to be true underneath. Still, there is a limit to this implausibility. It’s not like we’re going around claiming lightning magically gives you tattoos, or that you can survive jumping off the top of the Empire State Building, or that the Muppets were inspired by a porno, right? →Subscribe for new videos every day! https://www.youtube.com/user/toptenznet?sub_confirmation=1 → → GET A T-SHIRT - http://www.toptenz.net/toptenz-t-shirts →Top 10 Objects That Were Clearly Invented Just to Annoy Physics: https://youtu.be/0MVGeRa-vLo Entertaining and educational top 10 lists from TopTenzNet! You bowed a picture of Hatshepsut, not Cleopatra.
-
Those tattoos don't look cool at all
-
Did he say Eskimo? Isn't that offensive
-
Cleopatra's ancestors didn't build the pyramids. Cleopatra was a Ptolemy. The Ptolemys were 100% Greek.
-
#8.) What do you say about that, feminist?

Australia also sells camels to Arabs.

Benford's Law is understood. https://youtu.be/XXjlR2OK1kM

Your last comment; "The Pyramids were to Caesar older than the oldest Roman ruins re to us now"
I'm calling you out on that
The Roman Repubblic started about 2500 years ago. The Roman civilization started about 2-300 hundred years before that. Thou many structures like the Colosseum are "only" 2 thousand years old, some are centuries older. -
"Great big pile of disappointing pizza".

MOst of the number 3 are untrue

pizza hut is OK, better than dominoes.

Fact number four is nice, but record owner for survivor of free fall from the highest altitude died before this christmas 44 years after falling from 10,160 metres (33,333 ft). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vesna_Vulovi%C4%87
Vesna FTW. -
Random Countries in Louisiana LOL. I live in Louisiana and the only "Country" I know to exist in Louisiana is Cajun Country. But Im not sure if that technically counts as a country. Unless you meant Counties. If that is the case then we do not have counties in Louisiana. We have Parishes. Louisiana chose Parishes instead of Counties because of our strong Catholic Background. Anywho just had a laugh when I heard some random country in Louisiana. Honest Mistake Im sure. Anywho love your videos and all the cool lists, even the nutcase lizard people one LOL. Much Love from Cajun Country Louisiana (Lafayette)

1 being the most common first number is quiet easily apparent to our numbering system.
the leading number 9 on 999 was only expressed for 10% of the numbers lower than 1000, but 1 leads all numbers until 2000. The logic is so simple I can hardly imagine anyone else could have made the error stated here, that no one knows! -
How is "selling sand to arabs" racist?
-
*football.

Hum, Benford's law isn't about "significant" numbers, it's about "real life" numbers.
I guess one important reason is units, units are often chosen so that you will use numbers in a range we are confortable with (as humans) to express common things.
The meter for instance, had its length chosen for that purpose. -
second time i hear moldova in your vids, those hundreds of likes i leave worked i guess, self high five

amazing to learn that about Cleopatra. Seems so counterintuitive, but true...
