DWK F&F ; PETERSKIRCHE : ANDACHT ZUM GRÜNDONNERSTAG 2016 DIE PETERSKIRCHE geht in die Spätantike zurück und ist somit die älteste Kirche und Pfarre der Stadt Wien.(3-4. JH)Aus einem Kasernengebäude des römischen Lagers Vindobona wurde eine Saalkirche basilikaler Art umgebaut. Im Mittelalter gotisch umgebaut, mit einem Turm.(1137 dem Hl Petrus geweiht).- 1703 initiierte Kaiser Leopold I. den Neubau mit Baumeister Johann Lucas von Hildebrandt. Die neue Kirche war der erste Kuppelbau des barocken Wien. (Kuppel war oval mit einer Höhe von 56 Metern); die Orgel stammte aus 1751. Das Kuppelfresko "Mariä Himmelfahrt" von Johann Michael Rottmayr (1713/1714) ============ THE "PETER`s CHURCH" goes into late roman antiquity back and is the oldest church and parish of Vienna. (3-4. JH b.Chr.) from a house of the Roman camp "Vindobona" a hall church basilican style was rebuilt. In the Middle Ages gothic rebuilt with a tower. (1137 to St. Peter consecrated) .- 1703 initiated Emperor Leopold I. the new building with Master Johann Lucas von Hildebrandt. The new church was the first domed structure of baroque Vienna. (Dome was oval with a height of 56 meters); the organ came from 1751.- Big dome-fresko showes "Mariä Himmelfahrt" von Johann Michael Rottmayr (1713/1714)
